I finished putting up the lights today with the help of my dad. Here's the finished product:
As you can see, the Honda is still parked outside... the tow company broke down on the way to get the truck. Talk about irony. We also finished our tree:

A lot has happened over the course of 2 months. Much more than I typically care for. Some of it is good, the majority of it is bad.
We adopted a dog! Desiree is her name. She's a very energetic lab that tries my patience sometimes but is wonderful to have. Amanda is still iffy but I think she's warming up a little. Time will tell. I've put some pictures up on Picasa for all to see. Take a look.
The lesser of the bad news first. My truck finally died. I was hoping to make it to 200k but it wasn't meant to be. The last 3 years of driving has been considerably less then driving down to UST. In the past 7-8 months I put less than 5k. It's hard to reach 200k that way, shocking! In case anyone is curious, here's a Xanga entry of when she hit 130k: http://suvorov.xanga.com/136605973/item/.
Expecting another 170k is a bit crazy and, apparently, I was quite wrong- "Daks never die!"
Now for the really sad news. Amanda's Grandma passed away on Sunday, May 3rd. It's been hard for everyone. You can read more about it on Amanda's Xanga. Thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.
I've updated the site again... shocking, I know. Besides some cosmetic changes, I've finally implemented some site features and I've changed where I'm storing my photos online.
I've switched from using Flickr to using Picasa. I found that Picasa was a better fit for me. Flickr seems to have more options but Picasa was quicker for me to upload pictures (and that's all that really matters to me). Plus, the software was helpful in organizing the mess of photos I have stored on my desktop.
Can't complain about that.
I've uploaded some of the photos from my trip to Duluth. I'll post more as soon as I can.
I'm a web developer/software engineer living in Minnesota with my wonderful wife, Amanda and rambunctious lab, Desiree. I work primarily with .NET technologies during the day and play with Python/GAE at night.
This is my little niche on the web. It's a place for me to post things I find helpful and interesting, share things with friends and family, comment on different subjects, and contribute back to the developer community.
